Why does concrete work generate better feedback than abstract ideas?

People are better at spotting flaws in something real than imagining what would be right from scratch. Abstract discussion creates an illusion of agreement, but once a tangible example exists, misalignments surface and feedback sharpens. In Scrum, reviewing Done work ensures feedback reflects reality, not assumptions.

Metaphor

Getting feedback on unfinished work is like asking people to review a restaurant by handing them only the menu. They might say it looks great, but only once they taste the food can they tell you what’s too salty, bland, or perfect.

In Scrum, only Done work provides the kind of feedback that truly informs improvement.
